Funding for Meet the Composer/New England is provided by the MetLife Creative Connections Program of Meet the Composer, Inc., the six New England state arts agencies and the National Endowment for the Arts.
About Meet the Composer/New England
With support from Meet the Composer, Inc., NEFA offers grants to nonprofit organizations in New England to provide interaction between New England-based composers and audiences, related to specific performances of the composer's work.
The goals of Meet the Composer/New England are to:
- Increase opportunities for New England composers by fostering the creation, performance, dissemination, and appreciation of their music
- Provide meaningful interactions and experiences between New England composers, their music, and the citizens of New England.
Eligibility
Nonprofit organizations in New England are eligible to apply for Meet the Composer/New England. Eligible projects encompass the full range of music composition, including jazz, classical, and songwriting.
The Creative Connections program of Meet the Composer, Inc. may have funding for projects featuring composers from outside the New England region. Please visit the Meet the Composer, Inc. website for details.
