Our partners at RISCA are hosting the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture (NALAC) 2-day Regional workshop on October 10 & 11, 2014 in Rhode Island.  This is the first time NALAC has been in New England, and it's a great opportunity to engage Latino artists throughout the entire region.

NALAC Regional Arts Training Workshops are convened throughout the nation to assist in strengthening local networks and build the leadership of Latino artists and Latino arts and cultural organizations. Fostering this practice of cultural stewardship will develop and sustain the arts field now and in the future, in ways that inspire and cultivate communities.

The Regional Workshop brings together national arts leaders and the local arts field for comprehensive capacity building opportunities and community dialogue. Events include panel discussions, workshops, networking, art exhibits, and performances. Workshop tracks for artists and organizations focus on research, capacity building, strategic planning and business skills.

NEFA is excited to announce that NEFA's research manager, Dee Schneidman, will be giving a presentation on CreativeGround, NEFA's directory of New England's artists and creative enterprises, during the event.
