Biography

Beatrice Thomas (they/she) is a multidisciplinary artist, producer, consultant, and storyteller with over 30 years of experience. As the founder of Authentic Arts and Media, Beatrice’s work engages themes of cultural identity, racial justice, and queer visibility through performance, visual arts, and community-centered media. Through their alter ego, Black Benatar, Beatrice leads Black Benatar’s Black Magic Cabaret, blending drag, puppetry, magic, and theater to challenge narratives of belonging and explore inclusion.
