Artist/Presenter Exchange at Minnesota Dance Lab

ARTS PRESENTERS INVITED! 

The Minnesota Dance Lab, part of the National Dance Project's Regional Dance Development Initiative (RDDI), will offer a chance to meet with and see the work of several Minnesota dancemakers who have been selected to participate in this special residency/retreat.  Lab faculty include Reggie Wilson, Rob Ballis, Ivan Sygoda, Rosanna Gamson, Claudia LaRocca and Jessica Robinson Love. The artists selected to participate include:

  • Chris Schlichting
  • Karen Sherman
  • Marciano Silva dos Santos

From Thursday evening, June 16, through Saturday morning, June 18, 2011 at the College of Saint Benedict, the choreographers will have the opportunity to talk with presenters and show samples of their work.  Presenters are invited to attend, and some travel subsidies may be available.   Contact NEFA director of programs Jane Preston at  jpreston@nefa.org for additional information and to express interest.

June 16
5:00PM: Dinner and introductions for presenters and artists

June 17
10:00AM-1:00PM: Presenter roundtable (lunch provided): Context for the
                            showings and discussion on presenting dance
1:30PM-9:00PM: Lab artist performances and discussion
9:00PM: Reception and conversation with artists

June 18
9:00AM-12:00PM: Presenter/artist exchange
