Denise Delgado, writer, artist, educator and consultant, along with Kim Szeto, Creative City Program Manager at NEFA, will co-lead a 3-hour grant writing workshop geared towards artists who are interested in applying for Creative City and sharpening their grant writing skills in general.

Denise has not only received a Creative City grant in our first cohort of artists, but has also served on one of our review panels for a subsequent round of Creative City applications. She also has years of experience successfully applying for grants as an individual artist and former grant writer for various non-profits. She will engage participants in small group discussions and writing activities aimed at helping you to refine project ideas, articulate artistic goals and process, develop a realistic budget for the Creative City application. Using the Creative City grant application as a teaching tool, we hope that artists will also leave this workshop feeling better equipped to apply for other opportunities as well.
