Immigration Nation: A Public Conversation on the Value of and Challenges to Boston’s Rich Immigrant Community

Join WBUR’s Louise Kennedy for a public conversation on the value of and challenges to Boston’s rich, immigrant community. Inspired by Dorchester artist Nora Valdez’ visual art exhibition IMMIGRATION NATION (featuring 400 suitcases that visually share immigration stories of Bostonians), this talk welcomes guest panelists Alejandra St. Guillen (Director of Immigrant Advancement, City of Boston), Anthony Marino (Director of Legal Services, Irish International Immigration Center), and creator of the IMMIGRATION NATION exhibition, Nora Valdez. IMMIGRATION NATION is funded by New England Foundation for the Arts’ Creative City program, funded by the Barr Foundation with additional support from the Boston Foundation.
