Trailblazing transgender choreographer Sean Dorsey returns to 7 Stages from September 15-17, 2023 with the highly anticipated Atlanta premiere of The Lost Art Of Dreaming. The production invites us to rekindle our connection with longing, embrace expansive imagination, revel in joy and pleasure, and propel ourselves towards futures filled with love and possibility.
The performance features a powerhouse ensemble of five queer, trans, and gender-non-conforming dancers including Sean Dorsey, Brandon Graham, Héctor Jaime, David Le, and Nol Simonse. A rich, layered sound score featuring original music accompanies the work.
In addition to three public performances, the residency offers an opening reception, DreamLab dance workshop as part of our Service Saturday, and an Art of Activism community dialogue.
