The Abbe Museum is producing the Dawnland Festival of Arts and Ideas, set to take place from July 12-14, 2024, at the College of the Atlantic Campus in Bar Harbor, Maine.
Like its predecessors, the Abbe Museum Indian Market and the Native American Festival, this new iteration of our annual event will feature an invitation-only Native arts market and performances, with the addition of talks by Indigenous leaders on some of the biggest questions of our time, centering Wabanaki voice in collaboration with national Native speakers. The tone of the gathering will be around inquiry, joy, creativity, truth-telling, and solutions for the future.
