Acadiana Center for the Arts presents Ballet Memphis in Devil's Fruit, a new work by Julia Adam. A beautiful 25-minute work, Devil's Fruit features gorgeous projections on large white umbrellas incorporated into the ballet, as well as on the upstage scrim. Julia references the sheltering shape of the mushroom (its umbrella cap); its psychedelic properties; and the elfin/fairy world it is associated with.
