Alexander Davis

RONDO is an international artist residency organization established in 2024 in Mexico City. The residency program is centered around production and connection through strategic partnerships with arts organizations in Mexico City including Clavo Art Fair, Glaeria Union, Galeria Polomo and El Paint Lab. The five week residency program is built on four educational axis; Production, Theory, Public Relations, and Art Marketing. Each of the four international resident artists are granted 24 hour access to a private studio, as well as introductions and partnership with local fabricators, galleries, art fairs, and museums. The four artists in each cohort will also participate in exchange, sharing resources and experiences around their individualized practices. Alexander Davis will specifically utilize this opportunity to explore public arts practices in Mexico, and learn about the process of fabricating display structures for his knitted sculptures to be able to function as public art.
