Using the West Roxbury Soldiers Monument in Jamaica Plain as a study site, we will invite the public to think and question with us: “How do we envision and ultimately transform monuments of the past into dynamic sites of the present - living memorials that pay tribute to a particular moment in post-settler history, while simultaneously connecting to those who came before, to those who walk these spaces today and, ultimately, to those who are yet to be born?”
