The Combat Hippies will participate in a week long residency and two performances of AMAL at University of Puerto Rico - Rio Piedras Campus from April 22-April 27, 2024. Company members include three performers (Anthony Torres, Hipólito Arriaga III, and Angel Ruben Rodriguez, Sr.), Artistic Director Teo Castellanos, and Technical Director/Tour Manager Gary Lund. Performances will include a local guest Puerto Rican bomba dancer and bomba drummer to close each show. Company members will arrive on Sunday April 21, 2024. Artist load in/rehearse in the performance space daily from April 22nd-26th. Company members will facilitate a workshop on creating devised theater works for University of Puerto Rico theater students on Wednesday April 24, 2024. AMAL performances will take place on Friday April 26th and Saturday April 27th at 8pm. Company departs on 4/28/24.
