Anna Zeng

I intend to build upon my existing painting skills so that I can expand my artistic practices into public art making through murals. This grant would allow me the resources to rent a proper studio space that would be adequate for the creation of large-scale artwork, as well as purchase the supplies and equipment needed to practice and develop techniques for this new craft. Through this opportunity, I will obtain direct experience and have strengthened my technical knowledge of working with large format physical artwork, as well as gain insight into the logistical operations of the craft. By the end of my 12-week journey, I will have created tangible pieces that I can use as a starting point for my mural portfolio to more confidently apply for public art and mural opportunities in the Greater Boston and larger New England area.
