Combahee's Radical Call: Black Feminisms (re)Awaken Boston is a series of public installations that re-center in Boston the vital legacy of Black feminism(s), archives and the written word. It proposes a series of three public prompts to engage with spatial justice: in November 2020, text installation on Boston Center for the Art's Mills Gallery's public-facing windows; by early December 2020 a poster series strategically dispersed throughout 15-20 meaningful locations in Greater Boston neighborhoods via the accessible medium of wheat pasting; and a freely accessible digital reading room filled with texts inspired by the legacy and futures of Black feminism(s) in Boston.
