Artists for Humanity

AFH respectfully requests $60,000 from the New England Foundation for the Arts in support of mentor wages for our Painting, Digital Media and 3D Design Studios. This will help secure employment for 20+ working artists and designers in the coming year, many of them alumni of our Youth Arts Enterprise program. This will help AFH maintain the unique opportunities we offer Boston teens for paid creative employment, mentorship, 21st century learning, and a platform to express their voices. With low-income families and communities of color hit hardest by the pandemic’s wide-ranging effects, supporting under-resourced youth and ensuring they have access to the arts is more urgent than ever.
