Arts Alive

Big Nazo is a community-based creative group and also an intergalactic band of irreverent, renegade dancers, puppet makers, and teachers. They perform in characters created for workshops, concerts, parades, and general spectacle. Their innovative mask & puppetry techniques combine stand-up comedy, Sci-Fi, Go-Go dancing, daredevil stunts, soap opera hysterics and professional wrestling with live rock & funk music and audience-interactive improvisation.

We want to bring Big Nazo to Keene in conjunction with next year's Thing in the Spring, an annual celebration of music and art now in it's 17th year. Big Nazo would be a perfect element to add to the weekend festivities. They will present a Creature Show & Tell workshop, building puppets and characters, and then parade with the workshop participants, in costume, as well as punk rock marching band The Undertow Brass Band, to one of the concert venues, where they will also perform.
