Arts Council of Tamworth

Poet and performer Verandah Porche will spend six days in Tamworth working with people of all ages on poems that celebrate people and place, a continuation of work we began earlier in the school year with four community murals, also designed to show how each of our smaller stories contribute to the larger story of our community. She will spend time working with various populations, read to the public twice, teach teachers, and organize a multi-generational reading at the end of her visit, the performance equivalent of the community mural.
