Brazilian percussion master Cyro Baptista will take over Worcester PopUp, a community art space in the heart of downtown Worcester, and engage children, youth, amateur musicians and members of Worcester’s rich cultural communities in free daily workshops that explore the communicative power of sound, using everyday objects alongside traditional percussion instruments. This week-long residency will culminate in a public concert with Cyro Baptista & the Banquet of Spirits showcasing the community participants in Hogan Ballroom at the College of the Holy Cross.
