Asia Society Texas Center will present “South of Gold Mountain,” an interpretive dance piece by acclaimed choreographer H.T. Chen based on the images and oral histories of the Chinese immigrants that settled in the Southern United States prior to WWII. A multi-media production, the performances will include projections of historic photographs, a score by award-winning sound designer James Lo, and a multi-generational, multi-cultural cast of performers from New York and the local community.
