Ballet Memphis

Ballet Memphis has commissioned choreographer Julia Adam to create a new 20-25 minute ballet (currently untitled) that will premiere in Memphis at Playhouse on the Square on Oct 19, 2013. It will be presented in the company’s second “The River Project” season and will include two other works inspired by the Mississippi River. Charged with the theme of the Mississippi’s “flora & fauna,” Adam will create a work inspired by the unseen fungi world in the Delta - a world she harkens to a subterranean internet where everything is connected via fungi.
