BarnArts is hosting the Boston-Based band Noah Y Maurizio’s Acoustic Nomads for a performance at Feast and Field on Thursday, June 9th, and we will be bringing the band to the Barnard Academy for an in-school performance and workshop for grades Pre-k- 6th grade. The band is composed of talented young artists from the Boston Music scene, including band leaders Noah Harrington (bass), and Maurizio Fiore Salas (cuatro & guitar). The quintet is completed by mandolinist Ethan Setiawan (National Mandolin Champion 2014), cellist Parker Ousley, and violinist Sofia Chiarandini (Freshgrass 2021 Fiddle Competition 1st Place). Their original music draws inspiration from North and South American musical traditions, tempered with a fresh and playful contemporary approach.
