PROTOTYPE: OPERA l THEATRE l NOW is a visionary festival that focusses on producing and presenting a wide spectrum of vocal music based works, from intimate black-box experiences to larger chamber opera productions, valuing artistic, curatorial, and producorial risk-taking. As part of PROTOTYPE’s commitment to showcasing groundbreaking opera-theatre and music-theatre pieces, we consciously seek out new original work and composers/artists who will expand our network and works that might fit into future programming. The intention of attending the 2024 PICA TBA (Time Based Art) Festival to experience first hand Anna Martie Whitehead’s FORCE and to see if the work might be a curatorial fit into a future festival iteration.
