On the Boards

On the Boards (OtB) will present local artist and choreographer Jody Kuehner’s one great bright brittle altogetherness October 26 – 29, 2017. The piece encompasses three performance aspects, one of which is site specific, a previous collaboration with our partner and peer Velocity Dance Center, and the culminating aspect of which will be presented at OtB. It explores themes of queer feminism and collective community, and will include Kuehner’s alter ego Cherdonna Shinatra, bio-drag queen, or a woman-painted-as-a-man-painted-as-a-woman. We are also developing this piece via our Performance Production Program which gives artists the time, money, and expertise needed to develop new work.
