To celebrate National Poetry Month, Bombyx is partnering with Rachel Cyrene Blackman to present Poetry & Pie - the signature event within the Florence Poetry Carnival. The Carnival brings interactive, accessible, and inclusive poetry events to the village, weaving together the work of local, regional, and national authors. This year, we are excited to welcome Brother’s Keeper Poetry Theatre Ensemble for the keynote performance. Their fusion of poetry, music, and theatre is sure to challenge and inspire our audience. This offering aligns beautifully with recent programming (readings by Ocean Vuong and Andrea Lawlor; Hip Hop History Live; Queer Story Slam; Tell Her This Live), fulfilling our mission to bring a wide range of voices and perspectives to our stage.
