We will present "Stories From Home" at Douglas High School Auditorium on March 3, 2024, at 2 pm. Choreographed by Yvonne Montoya, it features an all-Mexican American cast, intertwining personal and ancestral stories from Nuevomexicano and Chicano communities.
Activities start with a meet-and-greet at BAC gallery on March 1, inviting local dancers from Douglas and Agua Prieta for interaction and refreshments. The event includes a talk by Montoya about her inspiration as an artist. March 2 is set for rehearsals and a dinner with cast and BAC Fellows. On performance day, March 3, will also showcase a visual art exhibition in the lobby, featuring works by local high school students who respond to the theme, Stories from Home. The artwork will then be moved to BAC Galley for a month long exhibition.
