We are at the end of the hero-narrative won with weapons of force and dominion. We cannot rely on the “Techno-Heroic” to solve uneven development, racism, sexism, police brutality, or environmental destruction. But the solutions are here. They are us. They require putting down our arms so we can finally pay closer attention to this clunky, chunky, patchy, insanely inter-connected palimpsest of a container meant to carry and provide for us all.
