Celebrity Series of Boston

In residency January 14-23, Celebrity Series will present LaTasha Barnes' "The Jazz Continuum" at the NEC Plimpton Shattuck Black Box theater. The three offerings feature an intergenerational and multidisciplinary cast of Black dancers and musicians, reaching back nearly 100 years to make visible the connections between the past and today's Black dance expressions: House, Hip-Hop, and more. Residency activities will include rehearsals, a virtual conversation with the Network of Arts Administrators of Color, workshops with professional local dancers in collaboration with community partner organizations, and more still being finalized with the community and the artists.
