CitySpace will host a residency and concert with the Julian Gerstin Sextet in the Blue Room, offering an immersive exploration of jazz infused with global influences.

The Julian Gerstin Sextet combines jazz with the rhythms and melodies of the Caribbean, Balkans, and Arab world. Their performances are dynamic journeys filled with melody, burning grooves, and peaceful modal explorations.

The residency includes a hands-on workshop where local musicians will explore drumming, singing, world music traditions, and the art of composing from diverse cultural influences. The evening will conclude with a full ensemble performance, showcasing the sextet’s vibrant sound at CitySpace in Old Town Hall.
