April 10-12 Invited by Connecticut College Dance Chair Rachel Boggia, SBB will spend two days in a site visit and residency that includes a series of workshops and masterclasses to support the development of an immersive work for the college in the winter of 2025 which will have one room entitled Embarqued. This room iteration will be specific to the voyage creation of the proscenium piece centering audiences inside the work and with the performers. In this two day exchange, SBB will visit acting, dance and design classes. Specifically the costume program where she will discuss the wearable set pieces as used in Embarqued and how textiles can maneuver between scenic and portable clothes.
