The Dance Hall will present Ali Kenner Brodky & co’s triptych of short fiction/dance films, “your love: behind me”. The films are an adaptation of three live duets created by Ali Kenner Brodsky and performed by Jessi Stegall & Ilya Vidrin. Brodsky, Choreographer & Director, worked with Rich Ferri, Director of Photography and Editor; Jarret Blinkhorn, Co-Director; and MorganEve Swain, Composer; to bring these films to life. “Your love: behind me” honors different points in a relationship- from the giddiness of a first glance, to settling into a common rhythm, to the final good-bye. In addition to the screening, Brodsky will lead a post-film discussion and workshop identifying basic movement vocabulary and encouraging participants to develop choreography using everyday movements. The workshop is open to all skill levels and geared toward those interested in movement and film. Tickets will cost $15, with a $10 student option and free admission available to low-income community members.
