Dance Place will present Dancing Wheels Company, a professional physically integrated company will present “Making Memories: A Journey through Dementia”. This immersive evening-length program combines performance art with dementia education to increase the understanding and recognition of diseases related to dementia and Alzheimer’s. We are in the process of creating several community engagement activities related to this performance, including:
* a post-show talk back with medical professionals
* a dance class specific for caregivers and persons with dementia
* a lobby installation highlighting community resources
