Dance Place

3 RITES brings together dance, live music, visual installations, community conversations, and shared meals to investigate the unalienable rights created by the U.S. Declaration of Independence, what these rights mean; how they manifest in the body; and how and for whom these rights are protected. This not only furthers our mission, but addresses our goal to expand our role in serving as a creator, supporter, and promoter of Dance Activism. From February 25 through March 10, 2024, Edisa Weeks' Engagement Activities include a Roots Party (2/25/24), Dance Place Teen Leaders Session, Community Potluck, a residency and Performances (3/9 - 3/10/24).
