DANCECleveland will bring Music From the Sole to Northeast Ohio August 4-5, 2023. On August 4, the company will provide two classes and a short youth performance. One class will be an all-levels body percussion workshop, with a focus on Brazilian rhythms and tap dance and its history. The other will be a masterclass for intermediate to advanced level tap dancers ages 14 and older. The youth performance will be a 15-20 minute performance as part of one of our community partner's end-of-summer celebration. On Saturday, August 5, Music From the Sole will perform their evening-length work, I Didn’t Come to Stay, at the Cain Park Evans Amphitheater in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Prior to the performance, DANCECleveland will facilitate a pre-show chat with a company leader. After the show, audience members will be invited to participate in a question-and-answer session with company dancers.
