UNBOUND is applying for the NTP Travel Grant to create a professional quality reel that can be sent to curators and arts programmers who may have interest in presenting our work in 2024 to 2025. We plan to shoot movement from the developing work outside in the desert landscapes between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, NM. This land is historically and ancestrally significant to the genízaros and their descendants and represents the work just as much as the other artistic elements of this multidisciplinary performance ritual. We will hire videographer Francois Achan to shoot the footage, and director Sarah Hogland-Gurulé and Francois will work together to edit the reel. In light of the ongoing COVID pandemic, in addition to other public health concerns like RSV, we believe having digital material to send to presenters without necessarily meeting in person could be a practical and community conscious approach to developing relationships with potential presenters and disseminating the work.
