Dancing Earth

Director Sarah Hogland-Gurulé & producer Ángel Guanajuato will travel by car to NM communities with a historic Genízaro presence to meet with venues who are interested in presenting UNBOUND (UB) but are not yet fully committed. Sarah and Angél want to meet with presenters in person because the culture of NM is largely relationship based and in more rural areas creating those relationships in person is very important. Sarah and Ángel will bring physical media kits to share with presenters to create a fuller picture of our project. These kits will include new UB t-shirts and a zine that shares Genízaro history, lyrics to “inditas” or Native captive songs we use in our show, quotes from Genízaro community leaders expressing the importance of telling our stories through art, and photos of UB. We’ll also provide a more standard media kit that includes a show description, links to our work in progress, community workshop offerings, bios, a breakdown of our pricing and the tech rider.
