Danspace Project will present the New York City premiere of Chris Schlichting’s newest work “Stripe Tease” over October 22-24th as part of a national NDP-supported tour of the work. A Minnesota-based choreographer, Schlichting’s dances rely on the formality of structural investigation and the emotion of earnest expression, simultaneously evoking the grandiosity of spectacle and the delicacy of intimate moments. Created in collaboration with composer Jeremy Ylvisaker and visual/installation artist Jennifer Davis, “Stripe Tease” is a dance work that seamlessly melds movement with visual and sonic experience.
