Davisville Middle School, North Kingstown

As part of the seventh grade Social Studies curriculum, seventh graders from Davisville Middle School and Wickford Middle School will "travel" the Silk Road by producing and performing large scale theater productions for their peers and community.The theater productions will include poetry, folktales, dance, shadow puppets, and drumming as a way for the seventh grade students to share their experiences and new-found knowledge of the Silk Road. Students will be exposed to the SILK ROAD IN 4-D by working with experts in the fields of dance, drumming, drama, and design. A Taiko drumming performance by Buringlington Taiko will represent one of the "4-D's" that our students will be exploring.
