Denison University

I am traveling to Los Angeles, California on Friday, November 15, 2024 from Columbus, Ohio to attend the premiere of Dan Froot's "Arms Around America" Saturday, November 16. The purpose of the trip is to determine its viability to present it as part of our series at Denison University, The Vail Series. While we are traditionally a music centered series, over the past few years, we have opened up the events to be multi-disciplinary, including dance, visual art, and spoken word. It is my desire to also incorporate theatre, and "Arms Around America" seems an especially timely and unique way to engage teh community in a meaningful manner. I am also meeting with Dan Froot on Saturday, November 16, to continue the conversations we started at APAP, subsequent phone calls, and emails. I'm especially excited to hear of his various flexible productions so we can see what is possible on our campus.
