Desert Dance Theatre

Desert Dance Theatre will be presenting H.T. Chen & Dancers in a week-long residency of outreach activities leading up to the featured performance of South of Gold Mountain. The residency will occur between March 22-29, 2015. The main public performance will take place on March 28, 2015 at the Tempe Center for the Arts. South of Gold Mountain is a multimedia dance piece based on research conducted by H.T. Chen and Dian Dong while traveling the southern states. Collaborators include a Chinese traditional and jazz composer, a Chinese American lyricist, video footage of historic photographs, and a multi-generational, multi-cultural cast of performers from New York and the local community.
