Design Studio for Social Intervention

DS4SI works in the intersections of design thinking and practice, social justice and activism, public art and social practice and civic/popular engagement. DS4SI’s Expanding Public Practice will commission local artists to collaborate and create space in public for new kinds of public life and culture--reclaiming public spaces for communities of color to share experiences, feel welcome and engage with public art.

Fund for the Arts is providing support over two years to a small cohort or organizations, including the DS4SI, to continue strengthening the public art sector in the Boston area.
