DiverseWorks

Karen Sherman's One with Others, presented by DiverseWorks is a contemporary dance for four performers that draws on biography, self-determination, communication and desire. It uses choreography and text (spoken, recorded, projected) to consider legacy, what we bestow on one another or lure each other into, free will, and private/public selves. It repurposes the body through wearable wooden appendages that recreate and ruin the dancer, jerry-rigging the body and personal mythology.
