DownCity Design

DownCity Design (DCD) is a non-profit community design organization that empowers people to strengthen their communities, using the tools of design. Our free arts learning programs train Providence metro area youth and adults to become skilled changemakers and engaged community members by inviting them to design and create service projects for public spaces and community groups, while learning valuable academic and career skills. NEFA NEAR funding will support DCD operations in a critical moment of our organizational growth, as we prepare to expand the reach of our design programming to meet the needs of our community throughout and beyond the COVID pandemic.
