Duke Performances seeks to host Austin-based theater company Rude Mechs as part of a 10-day residency from September 18-27, 2014. The residency will culminate in the premiere of Now Now Oh Now, an interactive devised work inspired by Live Action Role Playing (LARP) and theories about the role of beauty and aesthetics in evolution. The residency will include engagement with the Duke and Durham communities, including visits to classes in Theater Studies, and engagement with evolutionary scientists based in the Research Triangle.
