FirstWorks is applying for NEFA support for a newly-developed Artistic Ambassadorship, a long-term artistic relationship and opportunities for community engagement that strengthen the relevance of live arts experiences for audiences. Daniel Bernard Roumain, innovative composer, thrilling violinist, passionate educator, charismatic community organizer, and fierce arts advocate, will be the inaugural FirstWorks Artistic Ambassador. From summer planning through next June 2020, when Daniel will be a featured artist at PVDFest, he will be embedded in the community for a series of workshops, performances, community dinners and conversations.
