FirstWorks enriches the cultural, educational, and economic vitality of our community by engaging audiences with world-class performing arts and education programs. A core component of this mission is to harness the rich sociocultural diversity in Providence and broader Rhode Island to amplify cultural expression and intercultural exchange on the stage and in the classroom.
Funding from the New England Foundation for the Arts Resiliency Fund will enable FirstWorks to continue presenting artists as diverse as our community, inviting them to local (and virtual) stages and classrooms for fruitful intercultural exchanges and a global approach to understanding our shared world through the arts.
