The Foundry Theatre

Playwright Marcus Gardley and The Foundry Theatre are developing THE BOX: A Black Comedy, a new work to be built to tour. Inspired by Gardley’s own experience of police assault, and built in collaboration with community partners, THE BOX takes satirical aim at contemporary US policing and imprisonment practices with a distinctly African American cultural perspective. Integral to the tour, the Foundry will work with presenters to build partnerships with local social justice communities using the methodology of our Audience Ambassadors program.
