Fusebox Festival

Fusebox Festival presnts One With Others by Karen Sherman which features simple structures made of wood and hardware that are part costume, prosthetic and prop. They sometimes extend the body (a liquid-filled glove at the end of several articulating boards) or suppress it (a pair of boards that clamp down over the hands, disabling and exaggerating them). They make us feel our bodies more and less all at once. But primarily, they leverage self-expression and repression and speak a crude, visual language all their own.
