Gillian Ebersole

I would like to revisit and expand upon my duet “the place between a drought and a flood,” originally performed as a 10-minute work at The Foundry in West Stockbridge. I want to expand this duet into an evening-length work with multiple dancers and a live musician. This work utilizes dance and spoken word as its mediums to interrogate gender roles, Western art, and the tension between queerness and a conservative upbringing. This funding would compensate five dance artists plus a live musician for a weekend residency to continue the work on this piece.
