Global Arts Live will present the pre-premiere of Raphael Xavier’s Sassafrazz: Roots & Mastery on May 8 and 9, 2020, at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, Massachusetts. A 20-year exploration that will focus on the three stages of a practitioner’s Break life, this original narrative will be composed and choreographed for three Breakers and three Jazz musicians. In addition to audience engagement activities on the evenings of the performances, Raphael Xavier will also offer a breaking and jazz pop-up jam session at Boston Arts Academy.
