A grant from the New England Arts Resilience Fund will help GrubStreet continue running remote creative writing classes and events for nearly 8,000 teens and adults, prepare to safely transition back to in-person programs, and launch the first year of operations in our new, larger creative writing center in Boston. NEFA funds will allow GrubStreet to promote the new center, keep the community safe throughout the pandemic with health and safety supplies, and foster equitable and accessible participation in our programming. GrubStreet can also keep nearly 200 teaching artists employed and increase free programming for up to 2,000 writers in low-income communities and neighborhoods of color.
